Government Solutions Provider Aquilent Introduces New Facebook Recruitment App “Open Positions”

Government Solutions Provider Aquilent Expands Social Media Presence to Echo Administration’s Call for More Collaboration

New Tools Include “Open Positions” – Innovative Facebook Recruitment App

Laurel, MD…March 15, 2010 – Aquilent, the recognized leading provider of Web-based solutions shaping the next generation of technology for the federal government, today announced its social media expansion. New tools include an innovative Facebook recruitment application.

As President Obama calls for increased transparency, collaboration and participation – Aquilent continues to provide pioneering tools to help its customers achieve their Government 2.0 goals and objectives. Simultaneously, Aquilent is expanding its presence within the social media community to provide enhanced benefits to all of its stakeholders including customers, prospects, recruits and employees among others.

Recent developments include:

Facebook Fan Page: Aquilent has more than 700 fans and is effectively using this channel as an additional recruiting tool, providing a unique view of Aquilent’s culture through postings of social events, corporate trainings, and company insights, as well as providing a forum for showing how our employees enjoy their Aquilent experiences.

Facebook Application: Aquilent developed its own Facebook app that allows applicants to interact one-on-one with Aquilent’s recruiting staff and share information with colleagues about new positions.  Privacy is fully protected and no career-related information is posted to an individual’s wall.  This is a game-changer for social media-based recruiting.

YouTube Channel: Aquilent created its own channel and unveiled its entertaining Worry Transfer video that helps further understanding about typical inefficient government contracting practices and how to avoid them. The video is being disseminated virally via numerous sites including YouTube

Meetups: The Aquilent Health 2.0 Meetups were founded in Q-1, 2009 to bring together the leaders of the Health 2.0 community. The resulting, increasingly popular Health 2.0 STAT series unites local healthcare practitioners, solutions providers and government to share health 2.0 case studies and lessons learned. Presentations are available via video and disseminated online.

In addition to these tools, Aquilent provides online acquisition and project-tracking tools with built in RSS alerts, and engages in collaborative communities that use blogs and interactive forums for information sharing.

“At Aquilent, we are leveraging Web 2.0 capabilities to help our customers achieve their goals, as well as enhancing our own collaboration with each of our stakeholders,” stated David Fout, CEO of Aquilent. “We want to communicate with them in their own environments versus having them just listen to us in ours. We are excited about the innovative developments that are underway and look forward to continual feedback about how we can expand our social media presence even further.”
